AUCTION TIME!

AND IT HAS BEGUN!

first, the rules:

1) EMAIL ME ALL YOUR BIDS. email address (art@princeofcake.com). DO NOT POST A COMMENT WITH YOUR BID ON IT. defeats the purpose of the auction being silent and i won't be accepting your bid. if you're using facebook, refer to the facebook event info.

2) HUNDIES! i mean, all bids are priced and made in US DOLLARS. so when i say $50 i mean 50 US dollars. and i if see a bid of say $100, i will assume a mr benjamin franklin is involved. be warned.

3) PAY WHAT YOU WANT. the minimum bid is the starting bid. you can increase your bid by whatever increment you please. add cents if you want. probably won't do you much good, though.

4) YOU'D BETTER HAVE THE MONEY, CAPISH? if you have the winning bid, but you can't pay for it, the painting goes to the next highest bidder. if you only need a few days to gather up the cash, let me know. we can discuss deadlines like civilized monkeys.

5) NOT SO SURE ANYMORE? if you made a bid and want to change it or withdraw, email me. i will make the changes. changes can only be made before the deadline.

6) HAVE FUN. or else... or else it will be less fun i guess.

also, some things to consider...

1) when it's time to make your purchase, 1 of 2 things can happen. if i can get in contact with you physically, i will gladly meet up with you at some point and make the exchange personally. so if you're in LA or HK, that would be ideal. if i can't meet you one way or another, we will have to make the exchange by mail. i will email you an address to send a check, and i will mail the painting to you. im afraid shipping and handling will be up to you as well. i will send you the details if such a case occurs.

2) do take note that these are pictures taken from my phone's camera. the real thing may look somewhat different. i can't really help that. but i can say that from my point of view, the differences are minor. there are no blurry paintings, just blurry pictures (sorry, only have the camera on my phone). if you would like a clearer image, i will gladly retake the picture.

3) not all paintings are ready to hang. all wood paintings will have a way to hang them on the back, but paintings on other materials may need framing.

4) this might be obvious to some, but just in case, it's a silent auction, so there won't be a final stretch kind of thing you get from something like ebay or whatever. you wont have to keep your eyes on anything during the last few minutes. if your bid is high enough, you win. easy as that.

5) in the case of people making the same winning bid, all sides will be informed and will be given the chance to make a new higher bid or forfeit. the highest new bid or remaining bidder wins.

6) no refunds. sorry. never heard of anyone refunding a painting before.

i've extended the deadline to a full week later. why not. it won't change after this though. so... THE DEADLINE FOR BIDS IS TUESDAY NOVEMBER 9th, 12PM LOS ANGELES TIME. i will post reminders on the last 2 days.

any questions, please feel free to let me know :)
